Rikka test NO3 - test for measuring nitriate concentration in freshwater.
INSTRUCTION:
1. Rinse the test tube repeatedly with water to be tested.
2. Using the syringe, place exactly 5 ml of the water to be tested into the test tube.
3. Add one level spoon of Reagent №1, close the tube with the cap and shake it well for 2 minutes. A small amount of reagent may remain undissolved.
4. Hold the bottle with Reagent №2 strictly vertical! Add 5 drops of Reagent №2 and shake well for 15 seconds.
5. Wait for 15 minutes for the color in the reaction tube to stabilize at the end point.
6. Match the color of the liquid in the test tube to the Nitrate Color Scale placing the test tube against the white area of the card. The closest match indicates the mg/l of total nitrate (NO3–) concentration in the aquarium water sample. You should compare the colors in soft light! It is not allowed to compare them in direct sunlight or by lamplight, etc.
ATTENTION!!!
The color in the test tube will remain stable for 5 minutes. Do not relate to the color in the test tube after this time. DO NOT compare the solution that stood for over 20 minutes after Reagent B addition, because color can change and test will give inaccurate result. After 20 minutes the color can change (depends on the temperature value) and test will give higher levels of nitrates.
Immediately after determination of nitrate level rinse out the test tube thoroughly!
Avoid getting an indicator liquid or water after testing into an aquarium!
For accurate result temperature of water to be tested must be 25±3°С, and indoor temperature not less than 20°С.
Shelf life: 24 months, but not more than 12 months till open.
Keep out of reach of children.
