rikka Test Ca (titration) is a test kit for quick and accurate measurement of calcium concentration in seawater.
The calcium content in a marine aquarium affects the growth of corals, as well as the vital activity of other invertebrates, and even fish.
Always hold the dropper pointing vertically downwards when taking drops from the bottle. The external surface of dropper should be dry. Avoid bubbles. Failure to follow these precautions may lead to deviations in the test results.
INSTRUCTION
DeterminationofCa2+
1. Rinse the test tube repeatedly with water to be tested.
2. Add with the syringe 5 ml of water to the test vial.
3. Add 5 drops of Ca №1. Do not mix.
4. Add one spoon of the reagent Ca №2, seal tube with the cap and stir test vial but don't shake it.
5.Put the plastic tip on the 1 ml syringe and fill the syringe be the Ca №3 reagent till the lower end of the black part of the piston is higher the 1.00 ml mark and then push end of the black part of the piston to 1.00 ml mark (discharge Са №3 reagent back to the Ca №3 bottle). Could be that some air present just below the piston. This is will not influence the test result.
6.Add dropwise with 1 ml syringe the Ca №3 reagent to the water in the test vial. Swirl after each drop for a second or two. Continue with this until the color changes from pink-red to a clear blue color.
7. Hold the syringe with the tip facing upward and read the position of the black part of the piston (now the upper end). The syringe has graduations of 0.01 ml. Read calcium value from the table or calculate as in instructions.
For accurate result, temperature of the water to be tested must be at 25±3°С while indoor temperature must not be less than 20°С.
Shelf life: 24 months since manufacture data. Once opened use it within 12 months.
